Mandarin Fruit Juice Waste

We rescue the water left over from squeezing fresh, organic Mediterranean mandarins from the Italian orange juice industry meaning we don't use any "new" water in our products and formulations.

This nutrient-dense elixir is naturally packed full of antioxidants for your skin to drink in hydration leaving it healthy, happy and oh so glowy!

This planet-loving alternative gets a big thumbs up from us and an even bigger thumbs up from Mother Nature.

  • Organic mandarins are harvested, pressed and squeezed to gently extract their juice via a cold press process
  • The juice is then reduced, separating the antioxidant-rich water away from the mandarin concentrate, which will go on to make juices and squash
  • The remaining water is carefully filtered and repurposed as a sustainable alternative to 'new water' in our skincare products

Olive Oil Waste

100kg of Olives = 2kg of ingredients

We use by-products from the organic Italian olive oil industry (the OG’s of OO) to create our super smooth moisturiser.

Olives are notoriously packed with beneficial properties and have been used on the skin for thousands of years to hydrate and enhance the complexion. Our unique skincare blend includes olive pomace to help your skin fully absorb our products for soothed, nourished, deeply hydrated skin all day long.

  • To make olive oil, our manufacturers take freshly harvested olives and cold press them
  • On one side of the press, you’re left with the golden oil and on the other, you’re left with a cake of olive leftovers – this is called a pomace
  • We collect pomace and add a touch of chemistry to process it and obtain a super nourishing ingredient that’s very similar to the texture of the skin - this is magic that makes our moisturiser feel so amazing on your skin

Tomato Ketchup Waste 

We rescue the skins of Italian tomatoes, a powerful by-product discarded by the ketchup and tomato sauce industry and turn them into a nutrient-rich skin superfood packed full of antioxidants.

These antioxidants help to defend the skin from free radicals caused by UV exposure, pollution and everyday environmental stressors. Together they work to help brighten the complexion, leaving bright, radiant naturally glowing.

  • We take juicy tomato skins leftover from the tomato industry and give them a second life
  • The tomato skins then go to our specialist partners, who use friendly microorganisms (similar to those used to make bread or beer) to gently break down the plant fibers. This natural fermentation process unlocks the antioxidant-rich goodness hidden inside
  • After this process is completed, we're left with a magical lycopene-rich liquid; a high performance, naturally derived active ingredient that we use in our products

Breakfast Oats 

We rescue the stalks leftover from the organic Italian breakfast oat industry and ferment them before they goes into our skin-loving products. 

This unique fermentation process increases the natural antioxidant and amino acid content of the oat plant, helping to reduce inflammation and balance the skin’s microbiota. The result is an ingredient that actively works to reduce breakouts, balance, hydrate and prevent dryness and is a magical combo for sensitive and eczema-prone skin.

Skin is left feeling calm, restored and unbelievably soft.

  • Our oats undergo a hyperfermentation process to unlock their amazing benefits
  • First, an enzymatic treatment releases their natural nutrients and breaks down complex sugars into simpler forms, making them easier to ferment and boosting their nutritional profile
  • Then, natural yeast ferments the oat extract, producing a rich blend of active ingredients packed with skin-balancing postbiotics - think of it like gut health for your skin
