Eczema (also known as atopic dermatitis) is a common skin condition that affects 1 in 5 children and 1 in 10 adults in the UK. Often steroid creams are prescribed which can be incredibly harsh, often causing a permanent lightening and thinning of the skin and if used for too long it can trigger TSW (topical steroid withdrawal) as a result of being too reliant on the steroids.
